The holy Qur'an            Qur'aan

Qur'an 14:1

"Alif Laam Raa. A book which we have revealed to you (Muhammad) so that you may lead the people from out of the darknesses into the light by their Lord's leave to the path of the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy." [Qur'an 14:1]

The Quran is a Message from Allah to humanity. It was given by Allah through the angel Gabriel to the prophet Muhammad over a 23 year period  (from 610 CE to 622 CE). The prophet Muhammad then taught it to people. Muhammad was the final messenger of Allah , and therefore the Quran is the last Message which Allah has sent to us. Its predecessors such as the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels have all been superseded. Allah has guaranteed that He will protect the Quran from human tampering, and today's readers can find exact copies of it all over the world. The Quran of today is the same as the Quran revealed to Muhammad . The Quran is the primary source of every Muslim's faith and practice. It deals with all subjects which concern human beings, you could say that the subject of the Quran is guidance for mankind, it teaches mankind how to deal with any situation.

There are many things which have already been mentioned in the Quran over 1400 years ago that science is still trying to find out, there are countless examples, among them are 'the big bang', the barrier between sweet and salt water, creation of the universe, embryology (the Quran mentions all the different stages of the human embryo), the moon is not a light itself, but reflects the suns light, the sun is NOT stationary, botany, medicine, etc.

The Quran has been translated into many languages, but the Arabic Quran is the only true one as the others are mere  translations, and the original message can be lost by translating any text.
